Malaysia Guide: Photography Spot Overlooking the Malacca Strait

#malaccatrip
Continuing with the detailed notes for the City Walk series, here’s the second part:

St. Paul’s Church (圣保罗堂), Bukit Melaka
Located about a 10-minute walk from the Dutch Red House (荷兰红楼), St. Paul’s Church is a historical gem. Situated atop a hill, it offers a perfect vantage point to overlook the Malacca Strait — an excellent photography spot!

The hike up to the church is around 10 minutes, which is not too tiring. Once you reach the top, you’ll be greeted by the breathtaking view of the strait and the surrounding area.

At the entrance to the church, you’ll find a statue of St. Francis Xavier, who once stayed here during his missionary work in Malacca. Inside the church, you’ll notice the preserved 17th-century Portuguese and Dutch tombstones with inscriptions in the languages of that time, adding to the rich historical ambiance of the site.

It’s a great spot for photography, history enthusiasts, or anyone who wants to enjoy panoramic views of Malacca! #slowlife
