"Meteora" is a group of monasteries built on huge rock formations towering above the city of Kalambaka in the central part of mainland Greece.

The monasteries, located on top of cliffs that make you wonder "how were they built?", are truly floating in the sky.

Currently, there are six monasteries that can be visited, and each one is a solemn place where you can deeply feel the history and culture of Greek Orthodox Church.
Just looking at it is a spectacular view, but you can also climb up to the monastery and see inside. ✨

- Opening days and times vary for each monastery, so check in advance
(One or two monasteries have different closing days)

- Comfortable shoes and light clothing are essential! There are many stairs and slopes, so you need to be physically fit.

・It is difficult to get around by public transport, so we recommend taking a local tour or chartering a taxi.

・Women are advised to wear skirts or dresses (they are available for rental), and men should be careful not to expose too much skin.
