Found a real-life fairy tale town 2 hours around Chengdu

As a child, I always hoped to live in the little houses from fairy tale books, and unexpectedly, I really found them at Luofu Mountain in Mianyang! It’s just a 2-hour drive from Chengdu, where 58 round “steamed bun houses” are lined up along the mountain—roofs shaped like squirrels, pandas, and strawberries are adorably cute, walls covered in greenery bask in the sun, and the moment I opened the navigation, my kid jumped out saying, “Mom! It’s a glowing fairy tale town!”

🏡 The adorable pet-themed house you won’t want to leave
The “Ice Cream House” we booked is simply legendary! The pink and blue gradient walls paired with a cone-shaped chandelier, a 2.4-meter round bed that’s super soft, my kid rolled around on it right away~ Even the sink is animal-shaped, and the slippers are carrot-shaped🥕 At night, the starry ceiling light turns on, lying down watching the “stars” blink, and this mom couldn’t help but take 10 photos of the bed!

🎪 24-hour non-stop fun for kids!
✔️ Unpowered playground fun: ant slides, rainbow climbing nets, courage castle… 30+ facilities free to play! My timid kid actually climbed the three-level climbing frame all by himself, and this mom chased and filmed with her phone~
✔️ Heated pools + hot springs double buff: 3 infinity pools nestled by the mountain, splashing with unicorn floaties in summer, soaking in hot springs with mountain views in winter! The nearby Mianzhou Hotel has hot springs in the rooms, and my kid dozed off while soaking, finally giving me a chance to do a face mask and rest~
✔️ Nighttime is the main event! At 7:30 PM, the whole village lights up, mushroom houses instantly turn into glowing Easter eggs; at 8:00 PM, drones perform a “Frozen” show, bubbles fill the sky with Elsa’s theme song playing, my kid danced until hoarse, and dad took amazing photos with his phone’s grid shots!
✔️ The pet village is so healing: fed the lop-eared rabbits with carrot sticks, alpacas came over to nuzzle my palm, and my kid spun around excitedly when the peacock fanned its tail~ (The park sells carrot sticks for 10 yuan/box, a bit pricey, so it’s recommended to bring your own!)

🍚 Food that totally wins over the kids
The avocado-shaped round restaurant is super cute! The parent-child set meal comes with cartoon tableware, and my kid finished a whole little bear rice ball by himself~ Sichuan firewood chicken is a must-order, spice level adjustable, adults enjoyed it, and the kid kept grabbing potatoes from the pot!

A 5-minute walk to “Jiao Duck” to gnaw on century-old braised duck, the sweet-skinned duck is oily and delicious, my husband and I secretly packed some for a late-night snack~ Oh, and check this out! Staying here also comes with 60 game tokens! While the kid plays claw machines in the arcade, we relax in the lounge with coffee to recharge, perfect~
