The unique topography that surrounds Aoshima Island
has been designated a National Natural Monument.

The underwater strata have risen, and over time, the mountains have become convex due to waves and seawater, making them difficult to walk on, but they are a wonderful place to take a stroll.

Their shape is even more astonishing when viewed up close.

Designated a national natural monument, it stretches along the coastline about 8km from Aoshima Island to Kinchakujima Island.
Its most dynamic appearance is at its most spectacular at low tide.
It's also a popular spot for playing on the rocks.
