Zenkoji Temple

Zenkoji Temple, an important temple and a symbol of Nagano

It is a very old Buddhist temple, built around the 7th century.

The main temple of Zenkoji Temple was rebuilt in the middle of the Edo period. It is the largest wooden temple in eastern Japan. Photography is prohibited inside the temple.
