In addition to metropolises such as Tokyo and Osaka, you may also want to avoid the crowds and go to Japan's second- and third-tier cities to experience a leisurely yet relaxed atmosphere with great food and shopping. Nagasaki, located on the west side of Kyushu, Japan, is such a great place.
The city of Nagasaki is surrounded by mountains and the sea. The famous Nagasaki tram can take you to almost all the major attractions in Nagasaki. I used the one-day train ticket to visit the Atomic Bomb Museum, the Atomic Bomb Park, the Peace Memorial Park, the Spectacles Bridge, the Shinchi Chinatown, the night view of Mt. Inasa, the Oura Catholic Church and other attractions. On the other day, we took a leisurely stroll around Nagasaki Harbor as the sun set, and ended up eating and shopping at Kanko-dori Shopping Street. We also brought back Nagasaki's famous Bunmeido honey cake as a souvenir.
There are currently no direct flights from Taiwan to Nagasaki. You can take a direct bus to Nagasaki city after entering from Fukuoka and start your trip to Nagasaki!
