Furuwatari Inari Shrine is located in Masaki, Naka Ward, Nagoya City. β©οΈ
Its origins are said to date back to when Tokugawa Yoshimichi, the fourth lord of the Owari Domain, relocated an Inari shrine from Ishimakura Village, Niwa County (present-day Ishimakura, Konan City) to this location. The reason for the relocation is said to be that Yoshimichi was born in Yotsuya, Edo, and revered Inari as his local guardian deity. οΏΌ
The shrine grounds are home to several branch shrines, including Sanno Shrine, Gojo Tenjin Shrine, and Akiba Shrine. The beautiful vermilion-lacquered shrine building is a distinctive feature, drawing visitors' attention. π
Despite its location in Nagoya City, Furuwatari Inari Shrine boasts a tranquil atmosphere and is beloved by locals!
Enjoy the historical background and beautiful shrine buildings while visiting and strolling around the shrine!
