Naha, the vibrant capital of Okinawa’s main island, is a city full of culture, food, and charm. Just minutes from the airport, it’s the perfect base for your Okinawa trip. From bustling shopping streets to traditional touches and laid-back island vibes, Naha has a little bit of everything.
10:00 🚶♀️ Morning stroll by the port
We wandered through quiet local streets and spotted our first Shisa lion statue guarding a home. A fun surprise!
12:00 🌮 Lunch at Tortilla
A little outside the city center, but worth it for the best tacos and taco rice in town. So flavorful!
14:00 🍨 Ice cream stop at Blue Seal on Kokusai Street
We cooled off with a scoop of their famous “Salt Chinsuko” flavor—Okinawa in a cone!
16:00 🏨 Check-in at hotel androoms Naha Port
Loved the stylish room and the view of the harbor. Super cozy and refreshing after walking around.
19:00 🍲 Dinner at San
Ended the day with melt-in-your-mouth Agu pork shabu-shabu. One of the best meals of the trip! Don’t forget to book ahead.
Why I recommend Naha:
・Great access from the airport—perfect for first-time visitors
・A compact city that lets you experience both tradition and modern Okinawa in one place
