Weekend Chaoshan Trip

📆【Itinerary Guide】
📆Itinerary:
DAY 1 - Took the high-speed train at noon, arrived at Chaoshan Station at 2 PM. Honestly, Chaozhou's transportation isn't very convenient - the train station is about 40 minutes from downtown. After a short rest in the afternoon, took a taxi to Shangshui Gate. You can see Guangji Bridge by the riverside. Note: Guangji Bridge disassembles at 5:30 PM, so go early! Ate almond tea, sesame paste, braised goose, seafood congee, and marinated seafood in the ancient city - prices at tourist spots were reasonable. The light show starts at 8:00 PM (sound effects were mediocre). Important: Traffic control in the ancient city at night means you'll need to walk beyond Kaiyuan Temple to catch a taxi!

DAY 2 - Had breakfast at Xixin Road (very lively but watch out for electric bikes). The drive to Nan'ao Island took about 2 hours. The one-way toll to enter Nan'ao Island is 96 yuan. The island loop is about 70 km with many slopes - challenging for electric bikes. Passed several beaches (both sea and sand were mediocre - overrated). Ate rice noodle rolls and seafood (the seafood was excellent!) at a low-rated but surprisingly tasty restaurant!

🚗Transport Guide: High-speed train from Guangzhou East to Chaoshan Station takes about 2 hours

🌟Trip Highlights: Eat, explore, repeat!
