Recommended Photo Spots
Times Square Apartment
Overlooks the front of Tengwang Pavilion and the side of Bayi Bridge, beautiful from day to night.
Navigate to "Times Square Apartment", go to the building at the end, and take the elevator to the 19th floor.
Xinzhou Cultural Plaza
Both day and night views are beautiful; I went twice in one day, and the night view is even better~ The Tengwang Pavilion from this spot is very impactful, with a great vantage point. A 70mm lens is sufficient, or a phone with 3x optical zoom would be suitable~
Tengwang Pavilion Main Building
Night show tickets are checked after 18:00, and the performance starts at 19:30. Personally, I suggest that if you're not watching the show, there's no real need to go inside~
Tengwang Pavilion Moon Photo Spot
(Navigate to Tengwang Pavilion Mercure Hotel, cross the street towards the Ganjiang River, and you'll see it)
Tengwang Pavilion North Garden
A newly popular photo spot. If you wear Hanfu during the day, you'll get amazing shots here. The night view of the moon's reflection 🌙 is also beautiful~
Tengwang Pavilion North Garden Expansion
🌟Open scenic area where you can see Bayi Bridge up close.
Alternatively, navigate to 🔍Tengwang Pavilion Mercure, it's right across the street.
Wo Wen Cha Teahouse
A teahouse hidden in a corner of Tengwang Pavilion, this teahouse has three floors. The first floor is called [Nie Yu Tang], and the second and third floors are called [Wo Wen Cha].
After booking a private room and time in advance, staff will pick up guests at the North Gate to enter the scenic area.
Special Tips
1️⃣If you're taking the subway, be sure to get off at [Wanshougong Station], not [Tengwang Pavilion Station]. The latter name is very misleading, as there's at least a 10-minute walking difference between the two stations!
2️⃣The front of Tengwang Pavilion is definitely the prime photo spot. During the light show at night, with Tengwang Pavilion as the background, it's incredibly stunning!
3️⃣Don't miss the lantern wall either; with lanterns hanging high, the atmosphere is fantastic, perfect for portraits!
4️⃣For a panoramic shot of Tengwang Pavilion, find a spot with a good view by the river. Tengwang Pavilion and the Ganjiang River night view in the same frame are breathtaking!
