🚇 Take Metro Line 2 to Muxuyuan Station, then walk 20 minutes or take the scenic shuttle bus for 10 yuan to get there
🚗 Drive and navigate to "Meiling Palace." There is parking available, but it can be hard to find a spot during holidays~
🕒 Opening Hours & Tickets
⏰ 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (last entry at 5:30 PM)
🎫 Single ticket 30 yuan, but highly recommend buying the combo ticket! 100 yuan includes Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum + Linggu Temple + Music Stage + Meiling Palace, great value!
🎟️ Discounts available for students and seniors, don’t forget your ID!
🌟 Must-Visit Checklist!
1. Visit the main building’s three floors (key‼️)
- 1st floor: Reception room, laundry room, experience the Republic of China lifestyle
- 2nd floor: Reception hall, study, exquisitely decorated, perfect for photos!
- 3rd floor: Bedroom + Victory Hall (where Soong Mei-ling worshipped), very private and intimate~
2. Basement exhibition area
- Soong Mei-ling’s calligraphy and painting exhibition, kitchen display, and the food delivery elevator from back then! My imagination is limited by poverty 😂
3. Aerial view of the Phoenix Tree Necklace (absolutely stunning‼️)
- From above, Meiling Palace looks like a green gem, surrounded by 800 French phoenix trees forming a necklace, breathtakingly romantic!
- No drone? Starting 2025, Muxuyuan Metro Station will add an “aerial viewing platform,” so you can capture the panorama without flying!
📸 Photo Tips!
👗 Outfit suggestions:
- Republic of China style qipao/long dress: perfectly matches the architecture’s vibe
- Light colors/Morandi tones: contrast beautifully with the green glazed tiles and yellow walls for great shots
- Bring a small hat or vintage bag to boost the atmosphere!
📷 Best photo spots:
- 3rd floor terrace: overlooks the phoenix tree necklace, absolutely gorgeous
- By the 2nd floor glass windows: sunlight streams in, perfect for soft portrait shots
- Front steps of the main building: symmetrical composition, stunning full view of the architecture
- Entrance of Victory Hall: red pillars + green tile background, very cinematic
⏰ Best times to visit:
- 9-11 AM or 3-5 PM, soft lighting and fewer people
- In autumn and winter, golden leaves make the necklace more distinct, every shot looks like a masterpiece!
💡 Tips!
✅ Recommended visit duration: 1.5-2 hours
✅ Wear comfortable shoes! Lots of stairs and slopes inside
✅ The 2nd floor has the “First Lady Café,” perfect for a coffee break if you get tired☕
✅ Bring a power bank! Taking lots of photos can drain your phone battery📱
✅ Avoid peak times! Holidays are very crowded, weekdays offer a much better experience!
