Spent the weekend checking in at Langshan Scenic Area in Nantong🌟. Here you can find the elegance of Jiangnan gardens, the Zen atmosphere of a thousand-year-old ancient temple, and the breathtaking petrified wood forest. Over two hours of touring left me with a wealth of experiences~
First, let's talk about Guangjiao Zen Temple🏯 (No. 218 Chengshan Road, Langshan, Chongchuan District). This ancient temple, founded in the Tang Dynasty, is bustling with incense and has a simple and solemn architecture. Walking around inside made me feel my soul was purified. It's a Buddhist holy site definitely worth visiting, and I recommend going in the morning when it's less crowded and more peaceful~
Next is the highly recommended Langshan Scenic Area (Chengshan Road, Chongchuan District, entrance fee 70 yuan). The scenic area features a stunning Jiangnan garden. Strolling through it, every corner is picturesque: winding corridors leading to secluded spots, pavilions by rockeries and waterside, and that unforgettable red bean tree🌳! It is said this tree is several hundred years old, with translucent and beautiful red beans~
The most impressive is the petrified wood forest! Thousands of petrified wood pieces from hundreds of millions of years ago stand quietly, each telling a story of time. Photos posted on social media got tons of likes👍🏻. This spot is a must-visit for both its educational and scenic value!
Travel tips:
1. It’s best to enter around 9 AM for good lighting and beautiful photos.
2. Exploring the garden area thoroughly takes about 2 hours.
3. Wear comfortable flat shoes as the walking routes in the scenic area are quite long.
4. There are limited dining options inside, so bringing some snacks is recommended.
5. Guangjiao Zen Temple offers free guided tours, worth checking out.
ps. Open from April to October until 5:30 PM. Visiting now, you can still see various flowers blooming, perfect for photos~
