When traveling in Kansai, Awaji Island is perfect for a day trip. A relaxing day away from the big cities of Osaka and Kobe. It's also perfect for families with children.

9:00 Depart from the hotel
9:30 Arrive at the Awaji Island Expressway Service Area
Enjoy views of the Akashi Bridge and the cable car.
10:00 Visit Yumebutai and the Sea Church/Anime Forest. If you prefer architecture or nature, choose the former. If you enjoy anime (Naruto), choose the latter.
12:00 Lunch
1:00 Dolphin Farm
Highly recommended for families with children: experience interacting with dolphins.
1:00 Take a boat trip to see the Naruto Whirlpools.
