Visited Uchisar Castle today and OMG, I’m obsessed! October is literally the best time to go — the weather was sooo good: clear blue skies and chill air made the climb feel like a breeze.
Uchisar Castle (Uçhisar, 50240 Uçhisar/Ürgüp/Nevşehir, Turkey) is carved straight out of this wild volcanic rock, and trust me, the views from the top are next-level. You can spot all the iconic fairy chimneys, stunning valleys, and even catch Mount Erciyes flexing in the distance!
The climb up? Yeah, those steps are pretty steep, but totally worth it the second you reach the top — the scenery is 🤯 and you’ll get ALL the Insta-worthy shots! On your way up, there are cute little shops and cozy cafés where you can grab a drink, snack, or just vibe with the locals.
It’s a quick visit, but honestly one of the must-do highlights in Cappadocia. Here’s a pro tip: time it for sunset! The whole valley lights up with this dreamy golden glow that’ll make your jaw drop. Opening hours are usually 6:00 AM–7:30 PM (subject to change), so you’ve got plenty of daylight to work with.
If Cappadocia’s on your list, Uchisar Castle is a non-negotiable — go get those epic views!
