🌸 Phra That Nong La is a golden pagoda, standing tall on the banks of the Mekong River in Nong Khai Province. It was built to commemorate the Phra That Klang Nam (the original Phra That La Nong) that was submerged in the Mekong River. The pagoda is beautiful with its architecture that perfectly combines Lan Xang and Rattanakosin art. Inside, there are relics of the Lord Buddha and important Buddha images. It is a sacred place that Nong Khai people and tourists respect and believe in. They like to come to pay homage, ask for blessings, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Mekong River.
