🇫🇷 Honfleur, a Normandy port town loved by painters
A postcard-like day, a trip to a small French city
About 2 and a half hours by bus or car from Paris. Located on the northwestern coast of Normandy, Honfleur is a small town where every moment feels like a movie. In particular, the colorful buildings, yachts, and quaint alleys surrounding the old port (Vieux Bassin) are enough to stimulate your emotions.
This is a town loved by many Impressionist painters, including Monet, Boudin, and Courbet, and the scenery in their paintings still remains intact.
🎨 Recommended itinerary & course
Morning: Stroll around the port + visit the Saturday market (Recommended local cheese and cider!)
Afternoon: Visit the Sainte-Catherine Church → Appreciate the Musée Eugène Boudin
Dinner: Have a seafood platter and a glass of cider at a restaurant in front of the port 🍎🥂
Accommodation tip: Small boutique hotels with a port view or Airbnb are recommended!
📌 Travel tip
Suitable for a day trip or a 1-night 2-day trip from Paris by Blablacar bus or rental car
Even on rainy days, it's a charming place, so an umbrella is a must ☔
The market is most lively on Saturday mornings!
