🏞️ Finally checked in at Xichan Village this time!
I've been to Pan'an more than ten times, but never had the chance to visit this place called "Little Wugong Mountain" by netizens. This time, my wish came true~
🚗 Transportation
Driving from Dongyang city center takes about 1.5 hours. The road conditions are pretty good, not too bumpy.
Xichan Village is in Renchuan Town, Pan'an County. Nearby is the very popular Qingmeijian in recent years, great for camping and watching sunrise and sunset🌅.
🗻 Itinerary
We arrived around 9 or 10 in the morning and first climbed "Little Wugong Mountain." You can choose to walk or drive up the mountain:
🚶♂️ Walking: About 25 minutes, mostly slightly steep steps. Elderly and children can manage, but might get tired.
🚗 Driving: Only five minutes to the top.
The summit is really beautiful, full of green meadows. You can see wind turbines in the distance. The wind is strong and very cool, like a natural air conditioner in summer.
🍲 Lunch
Descend before noon. There are many farmhouse restaurants in the village, but most require advance booking. After lunch, we took the kids to play in the water~
💦 Parent-Child Water Fun
Just a few minutes walk downhill from the village, there is a long pavilion with a creek underneath. You can catch tadpoles and little frogs. The kids had a blast.
🌊 Other Attractions
Yunding Waterfall: Said to be great for photos, but we didn’t go this time.
Wuyin Pool: We went straight here, about a 10-minute drive from the village. It’s dry season in summer, so the waterfall flow is small, but it’s hidden inside a half cave, very cool and definitely a great summer escape! However, the water is quite deep, so be sure to stay safe and bring water play gear~
⚠️ Tips
Bring sunscreen, heatstroke prevention, and insect repellent essentials
Bring water play tools and change of clothes
Keep a close watch on children
🌿 Overall, this trip to Xichan Village was very relaxing and pleasant. You can hike and enjoy the scenery, as well as play in the water to beat the heat. Highly recommended for nature lovers!
