Departing Narita Airport on Friday afternoon and returning Monday morning, this whirlwind Pattaya itinerary includes two nights and one night in the cabin.
The key is to make good use of airport transfer charter services like Trip.com and Grab.
⚫︎DAY 1️⃣
After arriving at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, we took a Grab taxi and stayed at the airport hotel.
If you buy beer and a Thai bento box at the airport convenience store before getting in the taxi, you'll gradually feel excited about being in Thailand by the time you arrive at the hotel for dinner.
⚫︎DAY 2️⃣
Wake up early and take Cherry Taxi Service to the Hilton Pattaya. This taxi service only accepts cash, but they offer private transfers for 1,000 baht.
After leaving our heavy luggage at the hotel, we enjoyed some local food and toured Pattaya city.
In the evening, we went to the Tiffany's Show. We made the same-day reservation through Trip.com. This was my sixth time in Pattaya, but my first time attending a concert. I was truly moved by the performers' soulful performances.
For dinner, I recommend Prajaban, an Isan restaurant. I've been a regular here for years, ordering from GrabFood or just visiting whenever I visit Pattaya. I recommend the kho mu yam, fried shrimp paste, and tom yum goong hotpot.
The courtyard seating is surrounded by greenery, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant is spacious and the restrooms are fairly clean, so it's fine for families with children. Don't forget to bring mosquito repellent.
⚫︎DAY3️⃣
After a relaxing morning at the pool, take a club taxi to Jomtien Beach. Compared to Pattaya Beach, it has a more laid-back, idyllic atmosphere.
On the way, stop by the Chocolate Factory to enjoy delicious chocolate treats.
After a massage and some shopping, head back to Pattaya Beach early and head to the beer garden run by Chang Beer.
Here, you can enjoy Chang's draft beer at an outdoor seating area while looking out at the beach. It's a little pricey, but of course they have a wide variety of Thai food available.
The tables and toilets are well-maintained and clean, so it's a great option if you're bringing kids and want to relax with a drink while enjoying the sea breeze.
We took a songthaew from Beach Road back to the Hilton Hotel, took a shower, and checked out.
At around 8:30pm, we headed to the airport in the shuttle car we'd arranged through Trip.com, and took the 12:10am Air Japan flight back to Tokyo.
