moment together with family

We stumbled upon Flower Mulan Nyonya Cafe along Burma Road quite by chance. I had passed by the day before and was drawn in by the charming frontage, but didnât step in until the next dayâthis time with my missus in tow. And Iâm so glad we did.
The moment we entered, it felt like we had been transported back in time. The place is filled with antiquesâornate cabinets, vintage dĂŠcor, porcelain piecesâall tastefully scattered around the space. It didnât feel like a restaurant at all, but more like dining in someoneâs lovingly preserved heritage home.
Though it was just the two of us, we couldnât resist sampling as much as we could. We ordered five dishes and a blue pea flower rice. Every single dish was exceptional, but the rice deserves a special mentionâit was fragrant, full of flavour, and hands down the best blue pea rice Iâve had.
The service was warm and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. The staff were friendly without being overbearing, and it felt like they genuinely cared about their craft.
Also worth noting: the cafe is incredibly photogenic. With its beautifully curated interior, itâs a haven for Instagram lovers. Itâs no surprise that this spot has made it into the Michelin Guide. Prices are slightly on the premium side, but given the quality, ambience, and overall experience, Iâd say itâs worth every cent.
A memorable Nyonya dining experience that blends tradition, aesthetics, and great food. Highly recommended.
