湘友会湘菜馆 – Spacious Chinese Dining with a Karaoke Twist in Phnom Penh

Our group enjoyed dinner at 湘友会湘菜馆 while touring Phnom Penh. This large Chinese restaurant clearly attracts many Chinese diners, which is always a good sign of authenticity. The restaurant is quite spacious, with several VIP rooms on the second floor — we were lucky to get one of them.

What stood out was the massive round table that fit nearly 30 of us comfortably, a perfect setup for large groups or gatherings. The VIP room was well-designed for entertainment, featuring an attached karaoke area, which made the evening even more enjoyable.

Food quality was pretty good, delivering authentic Chinese flavors that satisfied our group’s appetite. The only downside was some language barrier issues with the staff, as their English was limited, which made communicating certain requests a bit challenging.

Overall, 湘友会湘菜馆 offers a fun and memorable dining experience in Phnom Penh, especially great for big groups who want good food alongside karaoke entertainment.
