Ayutthaya, Thailand, a solo trip (beware of the many photos)

Following Muang Boran, I'm sharing a bunch of photos from my solo trip to Ayutthaya, Thailand.

I took the train from Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station (Bang Sue Grand Station) in Bangkok for just 20 baht!

It was Sunday morning, and there were a lot of people, but the ticket processing was incredibly slow, so I waited an hour just to buy my ticket. ㅠㅠㅋㅋㅋ

I barely managed to get on, standing, and after an hour of hellish rush hour, I finally arrived. ㅎㅎ

The return trip is smooth.

I was exhausted from being stuck for an hour, so I went for a bite to eat.

The chicken was delicious.

After a delicious lunch, I bought two bags of fruit from the stall in front of the train station and headed out for a boat ride.

The boat across the river costs 10 baht, and it runs frequently, so you can get on right away. It's right across the river, so it only takes 3-4 minutes.

The stifling heat made me want to take refuge in a cafe. As I was walking, I stumbled upon a market!

The mangosteen was so cheap, I only bought 1kg haha

I was looking for a cafe with a great view and found this place. Be sure to go to the third floor!! The drinks weren't great, but the air conditioning was great and the view was amazing, so I highly recommend it!

I was afraid to go outside, so I just zoned out in the cafe. I came out mentally prepared, but it was really hot...

First, I visited Wat Ratchaburana, right in front of the cafe.

After quickly seeing Wat Mahathat, I took a break and looked at the lake right next door.

Finally, I headed to Wat Chaiwatthanaram, a famous sunset spot!

For now, I took refuge in a cafe to survive.

The kiwi smoothie here is really delicious, so you should definitely try it.

It was sunset time, so I went out to see it.

The rain suddenly started to pour down and then stopped, so the sky was cloudy, but it was still beautiful. Haha

We returned to the ferry terminal, crossed the ferry, and enjoyed the beautiful sky before heading to the train!

I highly recommend Ayutthaya for a day trip!

After taking a ton of photos, we headed to Wat Mahathat next door.

The Ayutthaya Bay atmosphere was fantastic, but it was really, really hot... There's no shade, so be sure to use the umbrellas they rent at the entrance!
