Mee Ton Poe is a restaurant known for its Phuket-style stir-fried noodles, located near the Surin Circle Clock Tower. This type of stir-fried noodles is unique to the southern region of Thailand and is rarely found in other provinces.
The must-try dish here is the Hokkien stir-fried noodles. These noodles are stir-fried over a charcoal stove, giving them a smoky aroma. The yellow noodles are chewy and soft, served with a light, flavorful sauce. Adding an egg enhances the taste, and it is best enjoyed with fresh shallots and crispy pork rinds. The flavor is mild, so you may need to adjust the seasoning to your preference.
The restaurant is located on a street corner, and parking can be quite challenging. We parked at a nearby parking lot and walked a short distance to the restaurant. The majority of the customers are tourists. The menu offers a variety of food and drinks. While the prices are tourist-oriented compared to the portion sizes, trying this place at least once is a unique experience. If you're visiting Phuket, make sure to stop by and give it a try!
