🔶🔶🔶Pokhara, a hidden gem in Nepal, boasts numerous stunning hiking trails. However, if you're short on time and don't want to hike, you can still enjoy the city's highlights in 2 days.
🎏My itinerary:
Day 1️⃣: Start your journey at Phewa Lake
■Morning: Head to Damside Park, a perfect spot for taking photos with Pokhara's iconic landmarks. Snap a photo and watch the sunset over the lake.
■Lunch: Enjoy a delicious meal at a lakeside restaurant while admiring the scenic views.
■Afternoon: Rent a boat and explore Phewa Lake, enjoying the serene views of the mountains and lake.
■Evening: Attend a ritual ceremony at Barahi Ghat, and experience the traditional culture of Nepal.
■Evening: Stroll along the lake and enjoy the sunset over the water. Have a candlelit dinner at a lakeside restaurant, and relax with the gentle breeze and the rippling water.
Day 2️⃣: Embark on a journey to the clouds
■4:30am: Head to Sarangkot to watch the sunrise. The Himalayas are bathed in golden light at dawn, creating a spectacular view.
■After breakfast: Experience the thrill of paragliding or a helicopter ride, and enjoy aerial views of the mountains, lake, and city.
■Lunch: Find a local Nepali restaurant in the city and order a traditional Dal Bhat (Nepali set meal).
■Afternoon: Dive into the old town of Pokhara, browse the colorful shops, and buy some Nepali handicrafts.
💡Helpful tips:
1. If you're short on time, it's not recommended to stay on the mountain. Choose accommodation near Phewa Lake for easy access to lake views and sightseeing.
2. The restaurants and resorts near Sarangkot are truly amazing, with stunning views. Make sure to include them in your itinerary.
3. The best time to take a boat trip on Phewa Lake is 2 hours before sunset. The light is soft and the scenery is pleasant.
