Prague, often called the heart of Europe, is a city where time seems to stand still. The red roofs, Gothic buildings, and sunset-drenched Vltava River scenery are more cinematic than real life. It's immediately clear why the entire city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with art woven into every step.
Our first stop was Prague Castle. The panoramic view of the Old Town from the hilltop is truly breathtaking. The spires of St. Vitus Cathedral soar skyward, and the sunlight reflecting off the stained glass windows sparkles mystically. As we walked across Charles Bridge, the melodies of street musicians filled the air, and the statues lining both sides of the bridge added to the romantic atmosphere.
In Old Town Square, you'll want to catch the Astronomical Clock ticking every hour. From the crowds milling around beneath the clock, to music emanating from cafe terraces, to the winding alleyways—Prague is a city brimming with emotion. In the evening, the lights across the river illuminate the red rooftops, creating a feeling like stepping into a painting.
TIP💡
🌉 Visit Charles Bridge at sunrise for a quieter atmosphere, and the misty landscape over the river is breathtaking.
☕ Café Slavia near Old Town Square is a classic café frequented by locals.
🎟 Prague Castle has separate entrance areas, so you can shorten your wait by using the West Entrance Fast Ticket.
Prague is a city where you experience the atmosphere more than the sights. The old city walls, cobblestone streets, and the river breeze all come together, and even a short walk can calm your mind and fill you with romance.
