【Qingdao Travel Photo Diary】A Healing Weekend by the Zhanqiao Pier

DAY1️⃣
Fell into Qingdao’s summer at 3 PM🏖️ Hanting Hotel (Zhanqiao Railway Station West Square Branch) is more convenient than expected! Just a 10-minute stroll dragging my suitcase from Qingdao Station, and the bright blue sign is right around the corner (📍location accuracy 100💯)
The Zhanqiao Pier at 5 PM smells like oranges🍊 Holding up my phone to chase the sea, I got ambushed by splashing waves (shoe warning⚠️). Unexpectedly found a small path from the hotel leading straight to the Sixth Seawater Bathing Beach! Picked up a transparent jellyfish on the sand, bouncing like jelly~ A local uncle taught me how to fish crabs with bread crumbs🦀 Caught three mini soldier crabs (released after photos)
DAY2️⃣
Woke up to sunshine in the early morning☀️ Must praise Hanting’s breakfast! Eating fried dough sticks brought out the Qingdao flavor described by Lao She~ Borrowed the hotel’s free map and discovered a hidden route: walk through West Square to the 1907 Light and Shadow Club🎬 Watched a film camera exhibition in the red brick corridor, and the dirty cup at the corner café surprisingly had a wave pattern!
In the afternoon, had a sudden idea to take the bus to Xiaomai Island (bus 303 right outside the hotel🚌). On the way back, navigation tricked me into a detour but I unexpectedly stumbled upon a cream-colored villa cluster at No. 22 Hunan Road! My phone died while taking photos, so I hurried back to Hanting to charge (the lobby actually has free outlets and a 3-in-1 charging cable😭)
TIPS✍️
It’s a 15-minute walk from Hanting to the popular photo wall; recommend getting up early at 8 AM to shoot on empty streets
BBQ stalls, grilled sea cucumber with original brew is amazing🍻
Room WiFi is strong, no problem uploading 4K videos
