Jiuhua Mountain - One of the four famous mountains of Chinese Buddhism, it is the dojo of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. The magnetic field of Jiuhua Mountain is very strong, and many people come here to pray for blessings. It is recommended to stay overnight on the mountain and get up early the next day to start climbing the mountain and worshiping Buddha.
The first stop is Longtou Temple on Xiaotiantai to worship and make a wish. There are 257 steps to go up. Remember that there are also rules for climbing the steps: left for promotion, right for wealth, and middle for safety.
The second stop is the Hall of the Flesh Relics. There is an old saying that "If you have not been to the Hall of the Flesh Relics, you have not seen the Buddha." After kneeling here, put your hands together and walk around the hall three times to pray. There is a "Yin Yang Well" next to the Flesh Hall. It is said that people with destiny can see their past lives or old friends. You can try it.
The third stop is Shangchan Temple. You can reach Shangchan Temple at the south gate of the Flesh Hall. The temple enshrines the Dripping Guanyin. Many people queue up to get water to purify their body, speech and mind.
The fourth stop is Jiuhua Street. Go down the path next to Shangchan Temple and you will reach Jiuhua Street. There are many restaurants and cultural and creative stores, and it is very lively.
The fifth stop is Huacheng Temple. Follow the signs on Jiuhua Street and you will see it soon. Huacheng Temple is the founding temple of Jiuhua Mountain, enshrining three large temples: Sakyamuni Buddha, Medicine Buddha, and Amitabha Buddha.
The sixth stop is Baisui Palace. There is a saying among the people: "If you don't go to Baisui Palace, your trip will be in vain. If you go to Baisui Palace, everything will be successful." You can take the cable car up and down to Baisui Palace. You can take photos of the natural sleeping Buddha on the mountain. In addition to praying for peace, you can also enjoy the beautiful scenery!
At this point, also near the exit of the scenic area, this route of worshiping Buddha without going back and forth saves time and effort, you may as well give it a try. If you have time, you can visit the Dayuan Cultural Park at the foot of the mountain, especially the "Hongyuan Hall" in the park, which can be said to be the cultural and artistic exhibition center of Jiuhua Mountain. Don't miss it! #九华山
