Qingyuan! I can't believe you don't promote this, it's truly so atmospheric. I've always wanted to go to Africa to see the great animal migration, but the long flights and high travel costs have been a deterrent. Unexpectedly, I realized this dream at Chimelong in Qingyuan. Watching rhinos and zebras migrate on the grasslands on a large scale, sitting on a steam train, and getting up close to the animals on the zebra walkway was spectacular. I've been to many zoos, but Chimelong Qingyuan gave me the most special experience, seeing many animals I had never seen before, lively and spirited.

✅ Must-try experiences

❶ Steam Train: Ride the small train through the forest and get close to the animals' lives.
❷ African Great Migration: Daily from 10:00 to 17:00, one show every hour, lasting 5-8 minutes. The best viewing spot is the Zebra Cloud Path, where you can see zebras and wildebeests running out, a breathtaking scene.
❸ Forest Kingdom Grand Parade: Don't miss it! The performers are enthusiastic, the scene lively, and you can clearly feel the dopamine rush.
❹ Lion King Restaurant / Giraffe Restaurant: Enjoy delicious food while observing the animals' dining habits, very interesting.
❺ Animal feeding: You can feed giraffes, alpacas, ring-tailed lemurs, parrots, and more up close. Feeding ring-tailed lemurs and parrots is highly recommended.
❻ The hotel's Sacred Tree Park, the rides in Little Bug World, and the high-altitude adventure in English Bear Valley are all great activities with excellent value.

I stayed at the Giraffe Castle Hotel inside the park, with a fairy-tale design style. You can watch giraffes and zebras strolling in the garden from the corridor, a great spot to enjoy the sunset.

📍 Tips for visiting

1️⃣ Rush to the steam train when the park opens to reduce waiting time and catch the 10 o'clock migration, enjoying animal life from different angles.
2️⃣ If you want a window seat to watch animals at the Lion King Restaurant, it's best to arrive before 11:30 to secure a spot.
3️⃣ It's recommended to spend two days here; buying a hotel and ticket package together is more cost-effective.

In two days, in this open environment, I saw many unfamiliar animals, fed and observed them up close without barriers, which completely changed my previous impression of zoos. It was truly amazing.
