Tianhou Temple: This is the oldest and most important existing temple dedicated to Mazu, the Chinese goddess of the sea. As a port city, Mazu worship is an important part of Quanzhou's heritage.
Statue of Lao Tze: The largest Taoist stone carving in China can be found on Qingyuan Mountain, one of the three sacred mountains of Quanzhou.
Cao'an Temple: This unique site is home to the world's only remaining stone statue of Mani, the founder of the Manichaean religion.
