Good places to go in March|Old Port, Rhode Island

#MarchGoodPlaces2025

Rhodes, as the shining pearl of the Zozacanisos Islands in Greece, has a long history and charming scenery. Among them, Mandraki Port is a check-in spot that cannot be missed. This port was built in 408 BC, and you can feel the strong historical atmosphere as soon as you step into its entrance. Here once stood the bronze statue of the sun god, one of the seven wonders of the world. The statue is about 33 meters high and is a symbol of the Greek sun god Helios. Sadly, this magnificent bronze statue was destroyed in an earthquake in 226 BC, 56 years after its completion.

Today, although the Colossus no longer exists, the majestic statue of Athena, the quaint windmill, the solemn Evangelical Church, the magnificent town hall and the concert hall full of artistic atmosphere are still preserved beside the harbor. Visitors can stroll leisurely, savor the stories behind each attraction, and feel the unique historical charm and cultural charm of Rhode Island.
