The Cold Light of the Hill

From the top of King Henry’s Mound, you can see all the way to St Paul’s Cathedral — a view that feels both timeless and ghostly in the morning mist. I stood there one Halloween dawn, the world painted in silver and shadow. The park below lay still, only the faint shapes of deer moving through the fog. It felt like standing at the edge of time. The wind carried the scent of damp leaves and something older — something watching, waiting, eternal. #hellohalloween
