Ambiance 💈: The space is very spacious hence it’s perfect for big group of diners. I like that we could see the coffee-making process happening at the bar area.

Food 🥞: Coffee-kan - Kyoto Higashi Hongan-ji Temple is a popular breakfast spot that opens as early as 7.30 am which is perfect for early birds like me. I totally enjoyed the breakfast menu where each items costs less than 1,000 yen with a main and a drink included. The pancake was my favourite as it was so fluffy and the cream that came as a side was so yummy!

Price 💲: about 1,000 to 2,000 yen per person

How to get there 🚶🏻♀️: Take train to Kyoto station and look for signs for Higashi Honganji Temple, otherwise simply walk towards the direction of temple structure that’s very noticeable from the station.
