The Former Kawara Residences preserve the charm of the Sakura castle town.

All three buildings were constructed in the late Edo period and were once home to samurai from the Sakura domain.

The Former Kawahara Residence is the oldest remaining samurai residence in the city.

You can tour and rest inside the Former Tajima Residence.

There's also an outdoor exhibition of armor and samurai suits, and you can try them on.
