Coming to Sanya for a business trip, the only hotel I’ve stayed at three times is this one!

Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay|Immersive Vacation Experience

Check-in

Check-in time is between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM. The wait can be a bit long, so it’s recommended to gently remind the staff during this period. Although the front desk says they will call to notify you, you actually need to proactively ask about the progress. After confirmation, the staff said the room was just cleaned and they were about to contact me. Overall, the process was fairly smooth.

Hotel Environment

I prefer a slightly dimmer ambiance, and the hotel’s design perfectly matches my taste, with every detail as exquisite as a scenic view. The 7th building where I stayed is conveniently located—just downstairs are the breakfast hall and swimming pool, and stepping outside leads directly to the beach without any detours. I especially recommend the 7th building for families with kids.

The pool has few people, making for a comfortable swimming experience. During my two-day stay, I wasn’t bitten by mosquitoes or other insects, though my companion was bitten once. The hotel promptly provided mosquito repellent, showing thoughtful service.

Beach and Activities

The hotel is separated from the public sea area, but due to policy allowing shared access, it can be difficult to enjoy a private beach experience when the public area is crowded. There is seaweed on the beach, but staff and vehicles continuously clean it, so overall it’s acceptable.

Snorkeling is a complimentary activity included with the booking and is highly recommended. You can also bring your own snorkeling gear to designated spots. This time, I didn’t experience tide pooling but did catch crabs and learned how to dig for sand crabs and identify their burrows, which was a lot of fun.

The seawater at Sunny Bay looks jelly-like under the sunlight and is very beautiful; the sand on the beach is fine and comfortable to walk on, making it an excellent choice for swimming and playing in the sea.

Food and Transportation

- Food: From 5 to 6 PM, there is a complimentary food and drink tasting for guests. It’s best to arrive before 5:30 PM when small snacks are served. There are few delivery options around the hotel, and prices at the Chinese and Western restaurants are relatively high. I only tried afternoon tea at the Chinese restaurant, which had good taste and service. Breakfast offers a wide variety, with decent flavors; freshly made waffles and pancakes are worth trying.
- Transportation: This time I chose to rent a car, but next time I might consider taking a taxi because during a vacation I prefer to focus on relaxing, eating, and drinking rather than frequently moving around.

🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness: Soundproofing is good, ensuring a quiet rest environment; cleanliness is excellent, with rooms and public areas tidy and the beach continuously cleaned by dedicated staff.

🏘️Room Type/Layout: The garden view room has a reasonable layout, and the 7th building’s location is convenient for travel, dining, and pool access.

🛌Amenities/Facilities: The room is well-equipped, and public facilities like the pool are well maintained, meeting vacation needs.

💗Other Tips: It’s recommended to book packages and reserve times in advance for better value; the 7th building is suitable for families with children; water activities like snorkeling are worth trying; for a relaxed vacation, consider taking taxis for transportation.

Overall, Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay is very suitable for vacationers who want to focus on enjoying the sea. I will definitely return and also plan to try the Mandarin Oriental next time for comparison. I hope everyone can have a great time enjoying the sunny weather!
