Sapporo Clock Tower

Standing in front of the Sapporo Clock Tower, I was a little surprised by how compact it was.
It felt strangely fitting for such an old building to stand so neatly in the middle of the city.

I couldn't go inside, but just looking at it from the outside, I could sense the passage of time.
Abandoned windows between the white wooden walls, and above them, the clock ticked endlessly.
I could almost hear the ticking of the clock on the street, where autumn leaves were slowly falling.

Many people were just passing by, but I paused for a moment.
It was striking how one old building could so quietly set the rhythm of the city.
