▶️Zuihoden, a tourist spot in Sendai
A mausoleum dedicated to Date Masamune
It had snowed quite a bit the day before, so the ground was rough on the day I visited, but the middle of the stairs had been cleared and it was easy to climb.
The contrast with the white snow made the splendor of the temple stand out even more.
Zuihoden consists of the main hall, worship hall, Karamon gate, Gyosho, and Nehanmon gate. In addition to Zuihoden, the mausoleum of the founder of the domain, Date Masamune, there is also Kansenden, the second feudal lord, Date Tadamune, and Zennoden, the third feudal lord, Date Tsunamune.
▶️The parking lot can accommodate about 30 cars for free.
Go up the gentle slope to the ticket booth. The stone steps on the left are the entrance and the stone steps on the right are the exit. You will worship by going around the Zuihoden grounds.
There is a shop where you can purchase your admission ticket, and you can only get a goshuin here.
You can see everything in about an hour.
