[Miyagi Prefecture] A trip to Sendai where you can enjoy culture and cuisine

📍Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture

In Sendai, I went to Tanabatakan to see the big Tanabata decorations.
It was bigger than I expected, which was overwhelming🎊🌟
Japan's largest Tanabata festival, which has been held since the time of Date Masamune, was powerful and gorgeous.

I went there for two days and one night, so I'll introduce it along with my experience.

📸
①Tanabata Museum
Even if you can't go on the day of the festival, you can see the real thing.
The Tanabata decorations were gorgeous and so big that you had to look up.
You can also see the decorations from past generations and learn about the history.

②Date Masamune Statue
The Masamune statue was cool🏇
It's a spot where you can get a panoramic view of the cityscape of Sendai.
※The road is winding and difficult, so I recommend taking the bus.

③Aobatei
If you search, you'll find many stores, but I went to Aobatei, which only has a store in Sendai.
It's located inside the station, so it's easy to access.
The tongue is thick, but it's soft. It was delicious~

④ Zunda Shake
I came to Sendai with Zunda🫘
I bought it at the station and the airport and drank it~

⑤ Figure Skating Monument
Goshikinuma, the birthplace of figure skating in Japan
There are glass monuments of Shizuka Arakawa and Yuzuru Hanyu, both of whom are from Sendai city.
There are also prints of their handprints on display, so be sure to take a commemorative photo🖐️
