Gapa Island's Green Barley Field - A Must-Visit Every Spring

Even after moving to Jeju, I make it a point to visit Gapa Island every year. It's simply irresistible! During the Green Barley Festival season, the island showcases a breathtaking view of lush green barley fields, reminiscent of old Jeju. The serene atmosphere and stunning scenery make all my worries disappear. It's a place where your eyes can truly relax.

Gapa Island is relatively small, so even first-time visitors can explore it thoroughly within half a day. If you're already in Jeju, I highly recommend adding Gapa Island to your itinerary. Whether you choose to cycle around or take a leisurely walk through the green barley fields, both options are equally delightful.

The Green Barley Festival is held in April. One of my favorite spring activities in Jeju is enjoying green barley ice cream while soaking in the picturesque views of Gapa Island. It's an essential part of my spring schedule.
