If you haven't been to Shache, you haven't truly experienced Xinjiang, China.

Strolling through Shache, I stumbled upon an art studio at a street corner—Uyghur artisans sketched desert poplars and dancing figures under grapevines on wooden boards with mineral pigments, their brushstrokes flowing with the romance of the Silk Road's millennia🌿. The most stunning were the stone paintings, where natural patterns were transformed by skilled hands into camel caravans and Twelve Muqam musicians, each piece truly one-of-a-kind!
The shop owner shared that the pigments are sourced from local red clay and plants, and the artworks shift hues with changing light✨. I bought a small piece titled "Twilight in Kashgar," as if capturing the sunset of the Western Regions within a frame🌇.
Tips: If you encounter artisans painting on-site, don’t miss the chance to observe~
