Chongming Island Xisha Wetland—a picturesque place.

This is my fourth time in Shanghai, and this time I decided to skip the Bund, the Oriental Pearl Tower, the City God Temple, the Huangpu River cruise, and the bustling shopping streets. Instead, I chose Chongming Island. Located in the southwest of Chongming Island, Xisha Wetland is bordered by Mingzhu Lake to the east and Lushua Town's 10,000-mu orange orchard scenic area to the north. It is the only natural wetland in Shanghai with natural tidal phenomena and large tracts of tidal flat woodland. It boasts a unique wetland landscape, with winding tidal creeks and scattered reed marshes. It is an important habitat for birds and a paradise for fish, shrimp, crabs, and other animal groups.
The beautiful scenery here really made me understand the meaning of "breathtakingly beautiful"! Blue sky, green water, metasequoia forest... It felt like I was in a painting. As I drifted in a small boat through the reed marshes and metasequoia forest, I saw all kinds of beautiful, unknown water birds, some perched in the forest, some flying over the water, and others floating and playing on the surface... Taking photos here requires no editing; any random shot with a mobile phone is a work of art!
