Hotel Review｜Sheraton Shanghai Jiading

✅ Dining Experience

- Executive Lounge Happy Hour (18:00-20:00): The number of hot dishes exceeded expectations, completely unlike an ordinary cafeteria standard, and there were fewer diners. The menu was rich, including fish, shrimp, beef, chicken, and soups; the spicy crayfish (mildly spicy and slightly dry, very flavorful) I ate two plates of, the three-flavor soup was also very delicious, and the other dishes tasted good as well.
- Afternoon Tea (14:00-16:00): Offers small cakes and three types of melons. Although the variety is limited, the small cakes have a good texture.
- Breakfast: Served until 10 am on weekends, the overall taste is average among Marriott brands. Among the dishes, the oatmeal porridge was acceptable, and the roasted cherry tomatoes were one of the few vegetable options; if you need to pay extra, it’s not highly recommended.

The room is relatively large and the decor is quite new. Although some small details need improvement: the air conditioning cooling effect is average, only the washbasin has tissues, and there are fewer charging outlets in the room, the overall good service attitude still makes it highly commendable.

Additionally, although the Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai Jiading is located in Jiading District (I have been to Shanghai seven or eight times this year, and this was my first time in Jiading), the location is quite suitable for business travelers and those with budget control. This hotel also offers happy hour; although the food is simple, it is still worth recognizing. As a Titanium member, I was upgraded to a junior suite, and the bedding experience was good. I happened to have a cold and cough on this business trip, so I didn’t go far. There is Yuanxiang Lake near the hotel, where I took a half-circle walk.

The hotel service is good, and the breakfast meets the usual standard of the Four Points brand. Considering the price, it is highly recommended for business trips in Jiading.

🧹 Soundproofing/Hygiene: No obvious hygiene issues, overall experience is good.

🏘️ Room Type/Layout:

- Sheraton Shanghai Jiading: Corner view executive twin room, 60 sqm, spacious;
- Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai Jiading: Junior suite with a reasonable layout, able to meet business travel accommodation needs.

🛌 Amenities/Facilities:

- Sheraton Shanghai Jiading: Newer decoration; equipped with basic room amenities; executive lounge offers dining services; minor issues with average air conditioning cooling, insufficient tissues and charging outlets;
- Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai Jiading: Better bedding experience; offers happy hour dining service.

💗 Other Tips:

- Sheraton Shanghai Jiading: Communicate in advance to secure your preferred room type; notifying the hotel on your birthday may get you a surprise decoration; happy hour and afternoon tea are worth experiencing; if breakfast requires extra payment, you may skip it;
- Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai Jiading: Members may get room upgrades; nearby Yuanxiang Lake is suitable for walking; suitable for business travelers and those on a budget;
- Both hotels offer commendable service and can be chosen based on travel purpose (vacation/business trip).
