The best season to see the sea is here

Chongming 2-day tour|Lazy version
This is my second time in Chongming. Friends from Chongming always say there’s nothing much to do here, but since I wanted to see the sea (river), I set off with the elders.

First stop: Baozhen Wharf ⛵️ Navigate 🧭 to "seeu coffee" Jiangtan store. When you drive 🛻 to the store entrance, you’ll see a small right-turn road ahead. Don’t hesitate to drive in; just follow the road straight to the riverbank. You can stop briefly, then look down to see the sign in picture 1️⃣. I was worried about missing the tide times without checking, but surprisingly, you can still walk on that small river embankment, though the typhoon weather made the lighting not so good.

Second stop: Yongfu Shou’an Temple, a must-visit! This temple is very beautiful. You have to try a bowl of vegetarian noodles, super delicious, only 💰10 yuan a bowl and very filling, plus unlimited small side dishes. After eating, stroll around the temple, copy some sutras, and have a cup of coffee—super comfortable.

Third stop: Jinmao Hyatt (the first time I stayed at Sheraton, both have their own charm; pet-friendly or with kids, you can choose Hyatt). In the afternoon, took the elders for a swim and took some photos.

Day two: Originally planned to go to Dongtan Forest Park, but couldn’t get up and was worried about the typhoon, so went to Chenjia Town for a delicious bowl of noodles, visited the nearby farmers’ market, and on the way back to the city center, made a detour to Changxing Island, took photos of Little Egypt, then went home.
Still a very lovely little trip. Next time, I want to explore the other half of Chongming Island.
