Barachon: A Remote Village in the Mountains of Shangri-La

Barachon is a traditional Tibetan village located in the Balagezong Scenic Area, about two hours away from Shangri-La in Yunnan Province, China. Today, it has been transformed into a tourist destination, serving as a mountain lodging area and a folk village.

Situated near the border of Sichuan and Yunnan provinces, this area was originally settled by people who migrated from Sichuan. The fact that they established a village in such rugged mountain terrain is awe-inspiring in itself. The high-altitude region boasts a unique blue sky, fresh air, and beautifully maintained traditional houses, making every photo you take here a masterpiece.

Since it is not yet widely known, it is an excellent place to explore peacefully. Be sure to visit before it gains more popularity!
