I highly recommend to walk around the lake in front of the monastery.

most tourists only take the bus to the monastery and visit the inside of the monastery, but I think it's worth to also walk around the lake, especially the east side, to get really nice panoramic picture of the monastery.

Walking from the entrance to the monastery also saves you some money!
