The Bottomless Lake, a hidden gem in Shangri-La, is like a pearl forgotten by time, exuding a mysterious and enchanting aura amidst the surrounding mountains. The moment I set foot on this land, my soul was instantly captivated by a profound and tranquil force.
Upon first sight, the lake appeared as a mirror, its crystal-clear blue-green waters shimmering under the sunlight. Towering green mountains encircled it, shrouded in mist, creating an ethereal atmosphere. On the grassy shores, wildflowers of unknown names bloomed freely, their vibrant colors contrasting sharply with the blue of the lake, a beauty so breathtaking it left me speechless.
Strolling along the lakeside, I was drawn to the scattered Mani stone piles of various shapes and sizes. Arranged harmoniously along the shore, each stone bore mysterious scriptures and symbols, as if narrating ancient tales. With reverence, I gently picked up a stone, sat by the lake, and began building my own Mani pile.
With each stone I placed, I silently made a wish in my heart. The spaces in my mind, often cluttered with the trivialities of daily life, were now filled with pure and sincere prayers. Sunlight warmed my skin, a gentle breeze brushed my face, and the soft sound of the lake lapping against the shore filled my ears, as if the entire world had fallen silent.
As I built the Mani pile, I couldn't help but think of the Tibetan people's love for this land and their unwavering faith. Through this simple yet solemn act, they express their reverence for nature and their longing for a better life. And I, a traveler from afar, found solace for my soul in this small Mani pile.
When the Mani pile was finally complete, I stood up, took a few steps back, and quietly gazed at it. It was not just a stack of stones but a manifestation of my deepest emotions. It bore witness to my beautiful moments at the Bottomless Lake and carried my hopes for the future.
