Shantou's hidden gem, where mountain and sea meet, is Jueshi Scenic Area.

🏔About the scenic area: On a clear day, visitors can enjoy a bird's-eye view of Shantou Bay from Piaoran Pavilion, including the Shantou Jueshi Bridge. Standing on the pavilion, you can overlook the intersection of Shantou's new and old towns, taking in both the urban landscape and the beautiful scenery of the mountains and sea. The most beautiful scenery in Chaoshan is indeed here. There are more than a dozen century-old buildings of various sizes in the scenic area, mostly various western-style buildings that combine the essence of Chinese and Western architecture. They are the main ruins of consulates and foreign firms built in Shantou by eight countries, including Britain, the United States, and Germany.

🚗Transportation: 🚌Bus: Take No. 37, No. 11, or No. 49 to Jueshi Scenic Area, then walk for 5 mins
⛴Ferry: Take the ferry at the square ferry terminal. There is a ferry every 20 mins, and it takes about 8 mins to reach the Jueshi ferry terminal. The key is that it's cheap, only CNY 1.
