#chinatravel So I checked out the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda in Shanxi, and honestly, it’s kinda mind-blowing. This ancient wooden tower is the tallest of its kind in China, and guess what? It’s made entirely of wood, no nails at all. Yeah, wild, right? Walking around it feels like stepping into a history book but with way cooler vibes.
The pagoda has this super intricate design with layers and layers of wooden beams stacked perfectly, and it’s been standing strong for over 900 years. Inside, you can climb up narrow stairways and peek out from tiny windows to catch some killer views of the surrounding countryside.
The whole place feels chill and not super crowded, which made exploring even more fun. Definitely bring comfy shoes for climbing and your phone to snap some epic pics.
If you’re ever in Shanxi and love architecture or cool old-school stuff, Yingxian Pagoda is a total must-see!
