This approximately 28km straight road, along National Highways 244 and 334, is located at the entrance to Hokkaido's Shiretoko Peninsula. It's said to have been named after the road's appearance as if it were reaching the heavens when viewed from its starting point. ♡

The straight road truly seems to reach the heavens! ❣️

A breathtaking scenic spot in eastern Hokkaido. ✨

Only twice a year (around the vernal and autumnal equinoxes), you can see the sun setting on the extension of the Road to Heaven. 🌇

The scenery, which captures the unique scale of Hokkaido, is said to be breathtakingly spectacular. ʚ♡ɞ

Going down the Road to Heaven, you'll find the wooden "Nameless Observatory." From here, you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Road to Heaven, including the Sea of Okhotsk and the lush fields that stretch out as far as the eye can see. ʚ♡ɞ
