Xucun, Shexian, Anhui · Daguan Pavilion

Daguan Pavilion is located in Xucun, Shexian County, Anhui Province.

"Daguan Pavilion" is commonly known as the "Octagonal Pavilion."
It was built in the 16th year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1537).
It is a three-eaved tower-style building.
The first and second floors have an octagonal floor plan,
with flying eaves extending from the octagon.
The third floor changes to a square shape,
with a hipped roof.

It was renovated in the 22nd year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1633),
retaining the three-eaved pavilion style.

The first and second floors are octagonal,
with each side of the first floor measuring 3.5 meters.
It covers an area of 64.6 square meters,
with a building area of 59 square meters.
The third floor is a hollow pavilion,
rectangular in plan,
with a total height of 11.75 meters.

There are doors on the south and north sides of the pavilion,
with a road passing through the middle.
On May 4, 1998, Daguan Pavilion was designated as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit in Anhui Province.
