I wanted to stay home, but I suddenly felt hungry on Sunday afternoon, so I rushed to Shenkeng Old Street~
Although it was raining, it couldn't stop our foodie spirit! I didn't expect that Taipei people are all foodies. How could there be so many people in the rain? There was almost no space in the parking lot😆. There is no way. This old street really hides a lot of treasures. I will share the 4 delicious flavors of this time👇

1️⃣ **Shenkeng Xu Mama Pickled Vegetables**|The taste of time pickled by ancient methods
🏮 A 70-year-old brand at the corner of the old street, pickled pickles in pottery jars are super retro!
✨ **Must-buy**:
✔️ Crispy **Soybean curd** (great for porridge)
✔️ Sweet **Fermented tofu** (with wine aroma but not too salty)
💡 I bought pickled mustard and pickled bamboo shoots this time, and will go back to make pickled mustard and shredded pork noodles

2️⃣ **Grilled stinky tofu under the tree**|Smoky aroma!
🌳 Tin stall under the banyan tree, the charcoal aroma spreads throughout the street~
🔥 **Must-order**:
✔️ **Signature grilled stinky tofu** (four ways to eat)
At the entrance of the old street, on the right hand side from the parking lot. It can be eaten in four ways. We tried the coriander, which was spread out with plenty of coriander😁

🍲 **Steamed or spicy stinky tofu** (with duck blood and large intestine, satisfying at once)

4️⃣ **Cousin Hakka Kueh**|Q-elastic paradise
👵🏻 Hakka auntie makes it daily, and the white smoke from the steamer is the best signature~
🍡 **Must try**:
✔️ **Cao Zai Kueh** (salted radish shreds or sweet red beans, the skin is super long and not sticky)
✔️ **Brown sugar Kueh** (different from brown sugar cake, it has a solid and chewy texture)
✔️ ** Taro cake (lots of taro shreds, fry until slightly burnt for a more fragrant taste)
💬 Auntie said: "It can be kept frozen for two weeks, and it will be just as soft and sticky when you steam it at home!"
Next time I come, I want to try the Shenkeng Hall Cafe, which was transformed from a historical building. Cafes with stories are my favorite
