Shenyang - From 🏯Palace Steps to Street Snacks🥢🌆

✈️ Arrived just in time for lunch — found a cozy local spot to fuel up
🏨 Checked into our stay and settled in
🎟️ First stop: Shenyang Palace Museum — loved the elegance, history, and quiet courtyards. Smaller than Beijing’s Forbidden City but full of charm
🚶♀️ Strolled through Zhong Jie — Shenyang’s famous pedestrian street, lively but not too crowded
🌃 Ended the day at Color Tower Night Market — neon lights, street snacks, and all the local vibes

✨ Tips for Travelers in Shenyang
🕰 Go to the Shenyang Palace Museum early
It closes around 5pm (last entry even earlier), so plan it for early afternoon. It's quieter and cooler then too. OFF on Monday.

📍Zhong Jie is walkable
Wear comfy shoes — it’s a long pedestrian street with plenty to see, snack, and shop along the way.

🥢 Color Tower Night Market gets lively after 6pm
Head there for street food — this season is perfect for Dongbei fruits (Dandong strawberries and Dalian cherries.) Super affordable, sweet and juicy!

🚕 Just take a taxi or use ride-hailing apps
It’s affordable and saves time, especially if you’re in a group of 3–4.

🧊 Northern air is dry
Bring lip balm and moisturizer — your skin will thank you.

📱 Have WeChat/Alipay ready
Most places don’t take cash or international cards, so make sure mobile payment is sorted ahead.

Shenyang may not shout for attention, but it’s full of character once you slow down and look around. A good start to the journey 💛
